Award-winning innovation and engineering consultancy, Cecence Ltd gained the aerospace industry quality management standard, AS9100 Rev D with LRQA. In July 2018, Cecence successfully achieved AS9100 Rev D and ISO 9001:2015 certification following an extensive audit conducted by LRQA, a leading independent professional assurance services organisation.
The AS9100 Rev D certification is based upon and extends ISO 9001:2015 with additional requirements for Aviation, Space and Defense organisations, and demonstrates the company’s ongoing commitment to meeting industry requirements in aerospace related products. The scope of AS9100 in Cecence’s case is applicable to design, development and manufacture of products for composite interior parts of mass transportation systems in the Aerospace, Defence and Rail Industries.
AS9100 Rev D is the most current industry standard of quality and risk management for organisations that design and manufacture products for the aerospace industry. Certification to the standard shows the ability to ensure precision and quality in manufacturing, whilst meeting customer requirements. Humphrey Bunyan, CTO at Cecence says, "We are delighted that our dedication to quality, precision and customer focus has been reflected in the achievement of AS9100. This certification is a major milestone in our ambitious growth plan, and another important step in our long-term support of aerospace companies and the forward-thinking attitude that Cecence apply to everything."
David Derrick, UK&I Area Operations Manager at LRQA comments, "The AS9100 Rev D standard provides manufacturers with a comprehensive quality system for providing safe and reliable products. The standard is managed by the International Aerospace Quality Group (IAQG) and based upon ISO 9001. Cecence’s certification reinforces their position as a manufacturer and shows their continuous efforts to ensure a process oriented approach."
