The United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) has granted LRQA accreditation for FSSC Certification, Catering module (category E).

Having an effective food safety management system can help combat some of the challenges the catering and food services sectors face. The FSSC 22000 Catering module helps identify the food safety hazards to minimise the risk to the consumer and the catering or food services provider.

Working with the world’s largest and most complex food manufacturers as well as smaller producers and farmers with specific needs, LRQA has built an unparalleled understanding of the sector. LRQA's Technical Manager Remco Pieters commented; “Having FSSC 22000 certification catering module enhances consumer confidence in your products by providing the best food safety conditions at your catering premises. The FSSC 22000 catering module covers the activities of catering companies who directly serve products to the end consumer.”

Designed to encourage consistency of standards through the transparency of food safety practices, the globally recognised FSSC 22000 Food Safety System Certification provides a framework for managing food safety and quality responsibilities for farming, food manufacturing, packaging, catering, retail and transportation.
