LRQA is delighted to be awarded a full membership with the Association of Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA).
APSCA aims to enhance the professionalism, consistency and credibility of individual auditors and organisations performing social compliance audits. It also focuses on promoting the use of independent social compliance audits as a tool to advance workplace conditions for workers globally.
Ged Farmer, Sustainability Schemes Manager, LRQA, commented: “We are thrilled to move to full membership with APSCA, having been part of the scheme since 2017. Becoming a full member of APSCA really allows LRQA to demonstrate our competency in our delivery of the APSCA Code and Standards of Professional Conduct for social compliance audits.”
Demand for social compliance audits is growing globally, driven by multinational organisations that are looking to assess their supply chain compliance to local and international guidelines. APSCA is practitioner-led and was formed to meet these industry requirements. LRQA will work in conjunction with other APSCA members, improving the quality and consistency of social compliance audits.
