Meet the team
Our Executive Leadership Team (ELT) are accomplished leaders who bring diverse perspectives, a shared commitment to client success and proven track records across their disciplines and LRQA’s four business units – Assessment, Advisory, Inspection Services and Cybersecurity.
LRQA’s ELT leads the continued execution of our strategy – to be the leading global assurance partner. They are committed to empowering LRQA’s 61,000 clients across 160 countries to be proactive, anticipate risks and, ultimately, solve some of their biggest business challenges.
Ian Spaulding, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Ian’s background is in business assurance, consulting and sustainability, having spent over 25 years in Asia, Europe and the United States, building, leading and growing businesses in those fields. He has worked with some of the largest companies in the world, as well as with local trade unions, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) and governments to improve on a range of business, safety, health, quality, social, environmental and operational challenges.
Business Units Leadership
Luis Cunha – Managing Director – Assessment
Luis has held multiple executive leadership roles globally in Portugal, UK, Spain, Russia and Belgium, working for companies such as Deloitte and Morgan Stanley. As an experienced leader, Luis has held several leadership roles in consulting, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) and certification industries, and has an extensive background in project management, restructuring and global strategy. Prior to his current role as Managing Director, Luis led the Assessment business as Regional Director for the Asia-Pacific region, responsible for managing commercial development and performance.
Kevin Franklin – Chief Growth Officer (CGO) and Managing Director – Advisory
Kevin has 22 years’ experience advising business on global risks, analytics and management systems, including extensive senior level engagement with many of the world’s largest companies on corporate strategy, sustainability and metrics-driven risk management. He is spearheading the evolution of our connected LRQA service ecosystem, ensuring we remain client focused as we achieve growth.
Fotis Kampouris – Managing Director – Inspection Services
Fotis brings a substantial background in the energy sector and has consistently delivered business growth, ensured client satisfaction and achieved operational excellence across complex markets and diverse geographies. Having dedicated his career to large-scale energy projects in Asia, Australia and Europe, he has experience navigating various cultural landscapes and business environments globally. In his current role as the Managing Director of Inspection Services at LRQA, he drives growth, operational excellence and client-centric success.
Simon Payne - Managing Director – Cybersecurity
Simon has worked in a wide range of technology and managed IT businesses across the UK and USA. He thrives on building and leading high-growth businesses and has a track record of driving revenue. With extensive experience in private equity-backed businesses, he has led multiple acquisitions and integrations, as well as organically growing businesses to increase profits and market share, alongside exceptional client experience.
Global Functions Leadership
Jonathan Chidley - Corporate Development Director
Jonathan has held numerous senior roles within professional services, corporate development and consulting. Since joining LRQA, Jonathan has led a series of acquisitions to support our growth strategy, such as ESG assurance specialists, ELEVATE, headquartered in Hong Kong, Sustainable Assurance Solutions (SAS) based in Australia, as well as cybersecurity specialists, ATvanGarde based in Singapore.
Stuart Kelly - Chief Commercial Officer
With over 25 years of global account management and business development experience, Stuart has worked with global and household-name brands across several sectors and markets, to help them manage risk around a range of safety, health, quality, social and environmental issues. Stuart has advised on a number of data-led risk management programmes to help companies prioritise efforts in the most impactful areas; experience which he applied to his previous role at LRQA as Sales Director for the Assessment division.
Andrew Hyde - Chief Digital and Information Officer (CDIO)
Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in sectors as diverse as investment banking, retail banking, insurance and consulting, with companies such as Deutsche Bank, Allianz, Barclays Bank and Siemens. He has a proven track record delivering business growth, including sponsoring new products and services, growing and nurturing teams, managing outsourced partners and digitising solutions.
Jeannie Ivanov - Global Marketing Director
Jeannie built her career in global marketing roles in the telecoms industry and has experience across many marketing disciplines, from Go-To-Market strategy to propositions and brand. Jeannie has worked with B2B clients of all sizes and applies her philosophy to LRQA; that revenue growth is driven by an understanding of what clients need and what challenges they face. Jeannie has lived and worked in Tanzania and China where she spent several years running an independent brand marketing agency in Beijing.
Raj Kaur - Chief People Officer
Raj has deep HR expertise gained from working in global organisations in the financial services, retail and energy, inspection, business assurance, consulting and sustainability businesses. She has worked with c-suite leadership teams leading challenging people agendas and delivering widescale impactful change programmes in culturally diverse large client groups. Raj is a chartered member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and holds a Master’s Degree in Human Resource Management.
Niall McCallum - Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Niall is a chartered accountant with many years of experience in private equity and at large, high-growth global businesses including Capita plc and Element Materials Technology, the global testing business. Niall specialises in leading the transformation of global finance operations and teams and aims to drive growth at LRQA by streamlining financial processes and exploring new avenues for revenue generation across our connected service portfolio.
Clare Thomas - General Counsel
Clare has more than 10 years’ experience leading legal, risk compliance and company secretarial functions in the certification, business assurance and advisory space with companies including Carillion, Eversheds Sutherland LLP, Severn Trent and Bureau Veritas. With a background in commercial and major projects, Clare has significant strength and depth in structuring complex, high value and high-risk commercial supply chain frameworks, building teams, managing regulatory compliance matters, multi –jurisdictional dispute management, acquisitions and corporate governance.
