Introduction
Andrew works in LRQA's (LRQA) award-winning Additive Manufacturing (AM) practice within LRQA's performance stream. He is responsible for LRQA's wider Performance services for developing and delivering AM services.
Biography
Andrew has over 30 years of experience in engineering, working in various technical and commercial roles across aerospace, upstream, downstream, nuclear, civil, utilities. Most recently, he has been working in LRQA's (LRQA) award-winning Additive Manufacturing (AM) practice within LRQA's performance stream and is responsible for LRQA's wider Performance services and has responsibility for the development and delivery of AM services.
As a qualified metallurgist and mechanical engineer, Andrew has been a critical contributor to the writing of AM (certification) guidance notes, produced many technical papers on AM, been a speaker on the subject and has advised organisations & governments on the adoption of AM. He is particularly passionate about his work with clients on the strategic use of AM for obsolete parts, spare parts and optimising supply chains, providing consultancy for due diligence, mergers, acquisitions and product development.
In such a competitive and fast-changing field, many companies are already choosing to set the assurance agenda in additive manufacturing.
