Facilities Management business FSI, has successfully extended their ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification after getting audited remotely by LRQA.

“We wanted to keep our certification status and continue to provide our customers with the same level of services despite the current situation and difficult times we are all going through. After talking with our LRQA assessor, moving forward with a remote audit was an easy decision to make, despite it was new to our team”, commented Kim Norris, Compliance Manager at FSI. “The fact that we were re-certified during the lockdown, it now makes it more of an achievement.”

LRQA conducted robust audits against the globally recognised quality standard ISO 9001 and information security standard ISO 27001 completely remotely. The process lasted six days and the audits focused on all FSI systems and information security controls.

Retaining ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certification highlights the emphasis that FSI places on maintaining products and services which comply with regulatory and customer requirements. FSI was initially awarded ISO 9001 certification in 2012 and ISO 27001 certification in 2014, and they have successfully achieved and maintained the standards since then.

Graham Brookman, Senior Assessor at LRQA, said: “At LRQA, we are pleased that we are able to continue offering our services to business even when on-site audits are not an option. Remote auditing is being used by an increasing number of clients as they see the value of keeping their certification valid. We are looking forward to working with FSI in the future to help them continue meeting international standards and their customers’ expectations”.
