LRQA proudly awarded Otto and Sons (Weihai) Poultry Development Co., Ltd, a subsidiary of the U.S. OSI Group, with China’s first Farm First Certificate.
This certification is part of the LRQA-owned Farm First assurance scheme, designed to ensure safe and secure food supply chains with a strong commitment to animal welfare and sustainability.
Farm First is a globally compatible certification scheme for agricultural excellence. Designed and owned by LRQA, Farm First aligns with diverse legislative frameworks worldwide, ensuring universal applicability. LRQA partners with certification bodies across the globe to deliver audits against the standard.

Davis Guan, Regional Director of LRQA Greater China, personally visited OSI’s Weihai office to present the certificate to the team. The ceremony honoured John Eccles, General Manager of Otto and Sons (Weihai) Poultry Development Co., Ltd, and Jonathan Ratcliff, Managing Director at FACS LTD, the audit company. This celebration marked a significant milestone for OSI, demonstrating its dedication to industry-leading animal welfare and sustainability standards and practices.
