Den nya versionen av ISO 50001-standarden ger krav på en datastyrt process med fokus på kontinuerlig förbättring av energiprestanda.
The publication of ISO 50001:2018 was announced today by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). The 2011 version of the standard has been revised to adopt ISO’s requirements for management system standards including the high level structure, identical core text and common terms and definitions, known as Annex SL, to ensure a high level of compatibility with other management system standards.
“With the greater involvement of leadership and employees in ISO 50001:2018, continual improvement in energy performance will become a much stronger focus. The common high level structure will make it easier to integrate into a common management system, improving efficiencies and reducing energy costs; allowing an organisation to be more competitive and potentially leading to reductions in environmental impact,” said Judith Turner - Environment & Energy Technical Manager, LRQA.
Certified organisations will have a three year timeline to migrate to the new standard. The introduction of the Annex SL structure is in line with all the new revised ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and the recent ISO 45001, ensuring that ISO 50001 can be easily integrated with these standards.
